If heading across into town from UMIST / Manchester University, the Rembrandt is most likely the first village pub that will greet you on the corner of the Gay Village / Canal Street.

Enter from Sackville St or Canal St, and a rectangular bar room will greet you.

A smal pub, but very well presented, with seating areas, and standing for when busy at night.

Relax with a pint of Guinness, recommended, as you read the latest copy of Bent or the Pink Paper.

Upstairs I believe houses a diner, and rooms are available.

Very well presented, with nice friendly staff.

The toilets are to the Sackville Street end of the pub.

5 Urinals are what greet you as you enter the gents, 3 to your left, and 2 on the far wall, plain white in design, neatly presented and well blended on the white tile walls.

Above the opposite p*ssers is a window, To its left is the single toilet cubicle, and hand washing aparatus is as you exit from the room.

The toilet bowl is white with a black plastic seat. The cistern is white, and unusally held together by two metal chains, flushes well, and there is a window above if you need air.

There is a large white roll dispenser, which was well stocked.

The sink area.... a single white sink, with hot and cold taps, is housed under a mirror. To its left is a hand dryer, and radiator to warm the room.

Not Bad at all - 8/10
