Description:
The Hatch Inn is a quintessential English pub located in the heart of Ashdown Forest (immortalized by AA Milne with the stories of Winnie the Pooh). Pooh bridge is just one mile from the pub and offers fantastic walking opportunities.

It is a highly respected, food driven, public house. The Hatch still remains a classic pub above all else offering high quality, locally sourced & cooked to order food.

The Hatch has been featured in many articles nationally including-
Best of British Pubs - Sunday Telegraph
Time Out - Weekends away from London
AA Guide - Pick of the pubs

The decor is, as can only be described as 'shabby chic' lots of low ceilings, beams & comfy cushions.

The pub is open all year round with the exception of Christmas Day.

The locals are a true mix of 'across the board', from barristers to gardeners.

The experience that customers generally have when entering the loos is.........Wow!

The styling in here is impeccable, nice beige wall tiles, up to about eye level, and a dark grey tiles floor houses the beautifully presented wash basin area, complete with soap, mirror and hand dryer.

Two urinals site at one end, fed from a cistern above.

There is also a radiator to keep the room warm, and a dust bin.

The toilet cubicle is small, but nice. A nice shaped bowl, white and modern, with a simple toilet roll holder.

In the ladies, we have a similar offering, see pictures, enjoy!

9/10

“We had a lovely lunch at The Hatch yesterday, and I can confirm that although compact, the ladies cloakroom is of a very high standard and was very clean and fresh smelling when we were there. In addition to the usual dryer there are individual hand towels and a basket for used linen, which is quite an upmarket touch.”
