Description:
Local venue with function room for hire. Macclesfield Conservative Club was opened by Edward Heath in 1968. Typical of late 60's early 70's buildings in fact could be mistaken for a primary school. Nice well stocked bar, helpful staff, quite a pleasant venue.

Toilets,
Rather cold, wouldn't like to spend to much time in there. Would be better in the summer - or maybe with the radiator on:-) Someone obviously takes time to clean them because of the shiny copper pipe work on the urinals.
Only one hand basin, liquid soap provided and paper towels too, hand dryer didn't appear to be functional though.

Update - June 2009:

Was in here recently for another function.

Decor is best described as basic / traditional, but well kept. Old fashioned chairs, plain painted walls with pictures by local artists hung on them.

There is a main Bar Room, Snooker Room, and the function room with it's own mini-bar.

On tap was Bass Extra Smooth - very nice!

There are some more toilets out near the entrance to the function room, the toilets here have a smaller urinal bay, and there is one toilet cubicle with a side entrance.

The urinal has 2 bays, a platform to stand on, and looks a little grim. It is fed from a cistern above.

The sink, under a big mirror, was basic with a little green soap bar. The Hand Dryer is old fashioned, but in good order.

In the cubicle was a black and white bog, with plenty of loo roll!

Nice Traditional Bar / Club and Toilet Facilities!

Lots of bog roll too by the looks of it, and you can bet the door locks too!
