Description:
Sutton Hall is a pub converted from a centuries old manor house and estate, home to the Earls of Lucan!

Location wise, you can find it on Bullocks Lane. Head up Byrons Lane from Macclesfield, and you'll soon find it.

On approaching the hall you'll probably be impressed at the size of the building, and the nice black and white panelling on part of the exterior.

Go inside and you'll find a lovely pub divided into several eating rooms, with old pictures on the walls, stair wells, and plenty of old features.

There is a bar area, near the entrance. On tap beers include some from the Storm Brewing Company and the Wincle Beer Co, both local micro breweries. An extensive selection of wines, bottled beers, and spirits are also available.

If you are here for food, which chances are you are, then you'll be in for a treat too. The food is excellent, and the service is very fast and efficient. Presentation, Quality and Flavour were all splendid on our recent visit!

If you need the loo, you'll have to negotiate round the mini-maze of little dining room, but you'll soon find the gents...

The Toilets room is again well lit, it has cream walls, black tiling, and old terracotta floor tiles.

On the walls are more pictures and interesting things, to look at while you wee perhaps.

The urinal consists of 4 attractive bays in a p*ss-stone. They are quite a nice shape, and cleanly piped to the cistern above which sits proudly amongst all the pictures.

The sink area has two sinks on a black worktop which matches the tiles. They sit under a big mirror, with hand soap available on the worktop.

You have the choice of Stainless Steel Hand-Dryer, or Paper-Towels from the matching dispenser. A bbin is also on hand to discard these.

The toilet cubicle is quite large and roomy, with a black wooden door. There is a simple roll holder wire on the wall, and there was extra rolls on the cistern.

Someone had made a little mess in here unfortunately. There was sh*t splattered on the back of the bowl, and discarded bog roll on the floor. There was no bog brush apparent either, which is presumably why someone hadnt cleaned up!

Otherwise, very nice loos!

A very nice country food pub, and loos!

7/10

“disappointed - expected a special valentine's meal and got a non-existent service, but paid restaurant prices? what's that all about? if I had wanted to serve myself I would have gone to a cheap place!”
