The Park Tavern is at the centre of Park Lane, and backs onto South Park, one of Macclesfield's great public parks, hence the name of the pub.

The establishment has a funny interior layout.

Imagine a long corridor as you enter, with different rooms coming off it.

To find the bar, i went to the end of the corrisor, past a pool table room, and took an entrance on my right. This brought me into a main room, which contained the bar.

There is a bit of a staged area, this pub has been used in the past for live bands, but i'm not sure if it is currently used, possibly for hosting quizzes though.

A well stocked bar will sooth any beer appetite, and it did mine.

I sat down with my pint of Guinness and had a good old fashioned chat with a friend.

I was here late in the evening, and was dying for a long slash.

The toilets turned out to be something of a delight!

Opening the brown door toward the back of the pub, here is what i saw...

to your immediate left is a sinked area and condom machine, then a short wall divide to the p*ss stones. To your right is the hand dryer, and the wall is fitted with a long radiator to stop you getting frosty bollocks!

At the end of the room is the pan..

The urinals are very attractive indeed, basically two long p*ss-stones, well presented, and probably quite old, there wasn't too much p*ss aroma, infact i really enjoyed draining my vein!

There is an ash-tray on the window sill if you need it.

The pan was all white, well presented with a bog brush, also white.

There is a loarge roll dispenser, but the two rolls by the window suggest it wasnt stocked.

The sink, mirror and jonny machine are also well kept, and the hand dryer was working too.

A very nice p*ss-stone, get down and have a look!

Update - May 2011:

As mentioned in the comments, below, The Park Tavern is now re-open, and under control of the Bollington Brewing Company.

In the past few weeks, we have been in half a dozen times, and we love it.

The pub has been fully refurbished, and is very nicely decorated.

The bar is strewn with real ale hand pumps, mostly from Bollington Brewing, with a handful of guest ales and ciders, plus Moravka Lager, from the High Peak.

There are plenty of places to sit, so take a seat and enjoy the excellent beer and take in the decor.

Food is not being served at the moment, but apparently will start soon.

The toilets are still in the same location.. goto the end of the corridor, and turn right... There si a notice here saying the beer garden is now closed, not sure if this is permanent or not...

Most of the aparatus in the gents is as it was under the Robindon's years, nice though it is..

The old urinals are looking good, the toilet bowl is a new one, with flush button. Well kept, with a nice silver loo brush.

An old sink is still tucked away to your left on room entrance, with Carex handwash!

The dryer is opposite the p*sser, a very old Airstream model under a mirror and above a radiator. This could do with some attention, as it turns of too hastily, but is otherwise fully working.

Excellent Pub, Bollington Beers in Macclesfield, with good loos! 9/10

“@Silktown - Actually, it closed down early 2009, and was then auctioned off by Robinson's.”

“@Silktown - we're not quite sure what you're trying to say / ask.

The pub closed in January 2009, and was autioned off on 26th February by Pugh & Company Auctioneers.

The Establishment remains closed, and presumably whoever bought it hasn't got round to removing the boarding as yet.”
