Description:
The Castle is set back from the blackpool sea front, just behind the Coral Island amusement centre, and the big car park in the centre of the town.
It is a very lasrge pub, with a big long bar, a dance floor, and a raised area with pool table.
We found the staff and clientelle friendly, and the beer good. In addition to our lagers, the bar man also sold us some Corky's Shots at £1 a go, very nice!
We had a chat about football with a few regulars, and then had a game of pool. The pool table was ok, £1 a play I think.
The place was quite dark with disco type lighting... during the day they do food.
The pub caters for Stag and Hen Night Partys!
Find the gents sh*thouses through a door from the pool table area.
The Gents is pretty basic, and old stained p*sser, 2 sinks, and a cubicle with no light.
The urinal is an old metal trough, well stained, and set under a chalk board. It functioned fine though, could serve about 6 men, and had soaps in it.
The cubicle had a white bog, with seat, and plenty of loo roll, but was dark. It flushed ok.
Next to the sh*tter are two basic sinks, with push on taps, set on a grotty old worktop and the tiles behind are a bit knackered too. Worker ok though.
On exit, pass the jonny machine by the door.
A pub well worth a visit on a trawl round town, ok bogs.
6/10
