Description:
This is a really nice, traditional, pub in the heart of Wilmslow Road, the main road through Didsbury.

Enter via the front, past the accreditation signs... "British Cheese Board" and "Egon Ronay's Guide 1993"...

On entrance, there is a room to your right, a long room to your left, and an enclosed bar area opposite.

The pub was very busy, especially for a Thursday afternoon visit.

The bar lasses were friendly, and we had a choice of Real Ales amongst the selection.

The pub also does food, with Cheese being the speciality. The bar was strewn with several pieces of cheese, very nice if you like that sort of thing.

We selected our beverages, and retired to the front room. On the walls were old pub artifacts and boxing memorabilia. There was also a quiz machine in the front area.

All in all, we found everyone to be very pleasant.

The toilets can be located either side of the bar.. ladies to the left, gents to the right by the exit to the smoking area.

The gents is tiled red and cream (see photos).

There are two sets of two urinal basins, set around a corner area, with a jonny machine in the middle. All seemed fine and dandy.

They are served from small cisterns above them.

There si one cubicle, with a plain looking wooden door. Inside is a pristine white bog, with a right hand flush handle. The loo roll had been placed on top of the cistern.

Back out near the main door are two sinks, set under a mirror, with soap, and a dryer and radiator to their left. There was also a wet floor sign to use if there had been a spillage!
