Description:
The Dog and Partridge is on the busy main road, Wilmslow Rd, in Didsbury.

It is a medium-sized pub, with a well stocked bar, seating areas, and open fire, and Sky Sports on the telly.

Decor is traditional, it is fairly dimly lit... one nice feature is a big old clocking-in machine in the pub!

We had a pint of Lager in here one weekday afternoon, it was very quiet, but I believe it is busy at weekends.

The pint was good, and the bar chappie was friendly.

The toilets are at the back of the pub, past the bar area on your left.

In the gents is a pretty p*ss-stained metal urinal, with a metal embossed launch plate to stand on (see photo).

There were a few soaps in the urinal.

Above is a black cistern, and a PHS sanitation unit.

To the side of the tough is a hand dryer mounted on a piece of wood, and a jonny dispenser. Things generally look like they have seen better days, see the dryer, fuse box etc in the photo.

Again, the sink area looks to be past its best... it is quite nice, set in a mosaic tiled enclosure, but an old soap dispenser has been removed and not tidied up on the wall. The soap that was here was empty too, but both taps worked. The mirror was ok.

Right, ok, the toilet cubicle now...

The loo in here is quite old fashioned, but functional, white with a black seat.

The cistern is set against some old tatty blocks of wood.

The roll holder was broken, so the bog roll sits on a tiled shelf behind the cistern.

There was a nice white loo brush, the bog flushed well, but the door didnt lock as it had been forced open, so not a great place to take a dump.

A busy pub, by all accounts, but the sh*thouses could do with a makeover!
