Description:
The Original Farmers Arms is a big pub in the middle of Eccelston, near Leyland, not to be confused with the Farmers Arms pub, a short drive down the road.
This is a big white / creamy painted building, set on a big car park.
Enter at the front door, and you'll find yourself on a narrow passage way, with a bar opposite, and seating to both the left and right.
We were here for a beer and some scran.
The Cumberland Sausage Curl, with an Egg and Chips went down a storm with a pint of Local Ale, and was reasonably priced.
Staff were friendly, and brung our food out promptly.
There are lots of old things to look at on the walls, and plenty of comfy seating areas... this pub probably gets quite busy for meals, and there was a desserts selection in a fridge to the left of the bar too!
The toilets are in the right hand side of the pub, from entrance.
The gents was clean, and nively lit.
Threee Urinals are neaty plumbed in, with splash plates between, nicely presented under a window.
The wall tiles are a seemingly random mix of white and beige / cream.
The p*ssers are fed by a cistern on the wall adjoining the right hand urinal.
Under this is a modern looking hand dryer.
To the left of the urinals are two sinks, with soaps, and a big mirror. There is a condom machine here too.
Check out the sinks mirror photo, reflecting the hand drier, opposite!
The gents cubicle was a bit on the small side, but well lit.
It has a white bog with light brown seat, a bog brush to the right, and a left hand flush.
There was loo roll, but someboday had also left a deposit on the back of the pan!
Overall, a well recommended pub! 7/10
