Description:
A medium sized pub based outside of Macclesfield Town Centre. Normal Opening hours

A strange shaped pub, as you walk through the front doors you have seating to the right with lots of tables. Then too the left where you walk through the pub their is more sufficient seating. The bar is basically shaped in a circle in the middle of the pub. Sounds great but it can be a right bastard to get served, it just depends where the barman is placed.

The rest of the pub - After walking through the bar area you will find a good sized room again with good seating and beyond that room is one of the most unusual pool tables in the borough of Macclesfield. To start with the table is a reddy pink colour!! (what the f*ck, you may ask) and it's bent as a nine bob note. When you go to take your shot the table moves and the balls go everywhere!!!

On a good note they have a great selection of draught beers. The normal larger which is Carling and Wife Beater (Stella) and some others. From memory they have Boddies and John Smiths.

Overall an average pub, good beer which is a bonus.

The Toilets

Not the best toilets in the world

You walk through the door only to find a tight little passage with one entrance to the sh*tter and the other to the p*ss stones. From the pictures it does not look too bad but if their full its a tight squeeze.

1 Bog
1 Bog Brush
Toilet Roll - YES

P*ss Stones
1 Hand Dryer
1 Jonny machine

Cleanliness 6/10
Overall 4/10

Update April 2010:

A visit to the Brewers in 2010 finds a thriving pub, with Real Ale from the local Storm Brewing Company of Macclesfield, live sport on TV, and a massive beer garden.

We had several pints, some games of pool, watched some footy and generally had a great time with nice locals.

The toilets are toward the back of the pub.

Once in the gents, turn left for the urinal and sink area, or carry on for the single cubicle, turning left when you see the tap on the wall.

Overall, very good, the door locked in the cubicle, and the sink worked.

The bog did have a bit of sh*t splatter on it, but that can be put down to lazy use.

It had a loo brush, a blue onion-ring style soap in it, plenty of bog roll and a locking door.

Nice Pub, Great Berr, Good Bogs.

“The Brewers Arms - one of the better (top 3 in summer) beer gardens in macc. Very friendly staff, in and outside the paub itself, toilets fine and accepatable, (womens) altho have to ask for loo paper occassionally. No leaks, or out of order signs for months etc”
