The Snow Goose on Macclesfield's Sunderland Street is modern bar with styling inspired by ski / alpine bars in Europe.

The bar / pub has two floors, which is quite unusual for a Macc establishment.

The bar area is downstairs... the selection is good for both food and drink. Beers wise, the local Storm Brewing Company offerings are on sale here. We sampled Hurrican Hubert and Bosley Cloud, both very nice.

We found the bar girls to be friendly and helpful.

there is some seating downstairs, with a few tables, or you can go upstairs and choose between comfy sofa chairs or even church pew seating! There is also a piano upstairs, should you feel the need to play.

The bar will have regular live music, although for real street theatre you can just look out of the window toward the Macc Flames fast food establishment, and it's rough and merry clientelle!

There is a smoking area out the back, and a balcony area which will be nice in the summer.

The gents bogs can be reached from the first floor, down a few steps / a slope.

You will see the sinks first, nice white round bowls, with the water supplied by beer taps - nice! The taps in the Gents are Bulmers and Fosters.. in the ladies they have a nice Stella Artois tap! There is soap, a mirror and a hand towel. The sink area looks a little unfinished yet... the worktop and piping are all exposed etc.

To the left of the sinks are two urinals mounted together on the wall. Nothing special, but clean and tiday.

To their left is the singular cubicle, with a nice modern white bog in in, against a red wall, with a wooden door.

A great place, we will be back in soon, when all construction work will no doubt be completed.

If in the area, also check out the Jolly Sailor, Treacle Tap and George and Dragon.
