The Charlton Arms is the oldest existing pub in Chilwell, taking its name from the Charlton Family who owned the once Chiwell Hall (now demolished). The pub is ok for evening meals and nice to have a drink in the huge bar. The usual alcoholic beverages line the bar from Carlsberg, Fosters, Stella Artois, John Smith and Guinness. The pub is very popular with the locals from the Chilwell estate so watch it on a Saturday night.
Now the Bogs.
The toilets here are located to the extreme left as you enter the pub opposite the bar. The bogs are very posh here and might I say clean enough to eat your evening meal off. The tiles and floor of the bog shine like Yul Brynnerís Head. There are an impressive six urinals on offer as well as two cubicles. No p*ss or brown stains on my visit. Clean as a cats arse.
Rate this one 9/10.
