The Old Dog and Partridge is not everybody's cup of tea for a pub. The boozer is located on Lower Parliament Street opposite Victoria Centre and next door to Wilkinson's store.
Like I said the pub is not for everybody and perhaps gives off the impression of being a rough pub. But surprisingly the pub is not a bad place. The pub attracts the same clientèle in here which is over 50's.
The place is great for a catch up with a few mates and a beer or two. The pub gets very busy and is always packed. A lot of blokes over 50 come in here to drink the day away.
It's good to see that the pub is a proper old fashioned city centre boozer and its hasn't been modernised like so many other pubs in Notts.
The loos are located down the right hand side of the pub. The bar is in the centre of the pub and there are big seating areas that circle around the bar.
Basic loos here.
One cubicle in here, the bowel and cistern were fairly clean and in good condition.
Quite a nice deep metal p*ss trough.
The sink area is basic with two wash sinks, soap dispenser and hand dryer. The soap dispenser was empty on my visit.
One big wall mirror in here to flick your picked spots and bogeys at. Check the old sticker on the mirror which has been there since 1970's. The sticker states "Hey Good Looking, if you do do drink, don't do drunk", wow!!
Rate these loos 6/10.
