The Steamboat is a lovely pub Situated in a fantastic location by The River Trent & Erewash Canal, serving great food & a variety of Beers.

The pub is located in Sawley just on the borders of Nottinghamshire and South East Derbyshire.

We walked along the Trent all the way from Attenborough to Sawley. After walking over six miles a pint was very much needed.

The pub is a large canal-side 2 roomed pub which is very popular in summer with both locals and visitors.

An outside patio and drinking area overlooks the locks.

Formerly the Fisherman’s Rest, it was built by the Erewash Canal Company and originally called the Erewash Navigation.

Refurbished and extended about two years ago which includes a dining area. Food served all day, every day.

The Steamboat Inn plays host to great live music every Saturday night! Why not join the locals for Classic Rock, the Best of Blues, Contemporary Covers and Sweet Soul Sounds!

I think every year the pub plays host to 'Rock The Lock'.... with stacks of bands & entertainment.

The beer is good in here and reasonably priced. Theakston's Mild at two pound a pint. Guinness two pound fifty a pint and guest ales around two or three pound a pint. Great prices!!

Now the p*ssers.

The loos are located at the back of the pub. Walk down past the bar and you will see a corridor near the snooker table which leads down to both ladies and gents.

Spacious sh*tter in here.

One cubicle, white toilet with wooden toilet seat. A rather dirty looking black toilet brush.

Black flooring in here with white wall tiles. A blue border runs around the middle of the toilet wall tiles.

A platform leads up to four lovely looking p*ss urinals.

A great sink area. Wash your hands and gaze out of the window at the lovely scenery and the farmer attending to his fields.

Soap dispenser here and hand towels only. A metal bin below to pop your used towels in.

A great pub here and pretty neat sh*tters.
