Description:
The Grosvenor has always been a favourite pub of mine.

The pub is located on the busy Mansfield Road. Just go pass the Forest Traffic Island and pass Clarendon College (New College Nottingham).

This pub is handy if your a student at the college for a quick tipple after class. Many times Iv'e nipped in here in the past, for a pint or two.

The pub belongs to the 'original pub company' chain.

A well stocked bar serving real ales, lagers and wines. Food is quite good here and reasonably priced. The pub serve typical pub grub, Sunday Roasts, grills, burgers and curries.

As you can tell the clientèle in here are mainly students. Other customers include after work crowd, middle aged, OAP'S etc. A wide range of customers who seem a good bunch.

I believe the pub show live sports and matches. There are several screens around the pub to watch live results as they come in.

The pub itself is quite big inside. A big centre bar and plenty of seating areas inside. A spacious little seating area outside, so you can have a fag and watch the traffic roll by.

We had not been in here for about a year or so. We came recently on a Friday night and it was packed. Very busy in here and we found it hard to get served. It took us about fifteen minutes to eventually get served two pints of Bombardier.

But despite this we found the pub and it's atmosphere to be relaxing and pleasant.

I believe the ladies and gents in here are two different places.

The ladies are located on the ground floor and the gents are located up some stairs.

Lets visit the gents.

Walk up some stairs and you will see the gents. The gents are located next to a big function room area. Great if your here for a private party as your right next to the sh*tters!!

Upon entering the gents we are greeted by the wash sinks to the right and the hand dryer to the left.

Turn to the extreme left in here and you will see the metal p*ss trough down a side area. A standard metal p*ss trough in here, with lemon aroma soaps in it.

Across from the trough are three cubicles. As it was Friday night, the cubicle I went into was fairly sticky with p*ss. A very plain white toilet bowel and white toilet seat.

The sink area is big. We are presented with a boxed in wash sinks. Four sinks and four wall mirrors. The taps worked fine on my visit as did the soap dispenser.

The hand dryer did not work to well though and only blew out cold air.

A great pub here with fairly basic loos.

Next time your out that way, pop in for a pint and a bit of scran.

7/10.
