Description:
This pub is located in a funny place really. Located down a tight alleyway just off the main shopping area in the centre of Long Eaton.

The pub takes its name from 'The Twitchel', which connected Long Eaton with the village of Sawley.

The pub is a fairly decent Wetherspoons establishment. It can get very busy both day and night. For Long Eaton, this pub is not to 'rough' with local characters, but it can get a bit rowdy in the evenings. A cheap place to get p*ssed up in Long Eaton, this place can attract some obscure locals!

We came in on a weekday visit after shopping around Long Eaton. We came in and had a couple pints of real ale. The beer was good and the staff were on the ball.

The only problem we had was that there was no bar staff behind the bar for about fifteen minutes, one of the thirsty customers had to go and grab a member of staff. We eventually got served and sat down to enjoy our pints with a newspaper.

We did not have any grub on our visit, but the food we did see come out looked nice. It is the typical Wetherspoons menu here.

The toilets are located in two different places here for ladies and gents. The ladies are located on the ground floor, while the gents are upstairs.

The gents are quite big in here. Lovely blue interior in the bog.

We have a row of around seven urinals which line the left wall as you walk in.

There are three working cubicles which face you as you walk in. There is a extra cubcile on the far end which is padlocked and it reads private on the door (see pic). We wonder what is inside? Perhaps the cleaner lives in there!

We inspected the far end cubicle. Nice clean bowl and everything was bob on.

There are a row of sinks which line the right hand side wall of the bog. Again everything worked nice and fine.

There are handryers to dry your hands just as you walk out.

Another interesting feature is a picture with some history of the pub and the surrounding area!

A great pub in Long Eaton here and an excellent sh*thouse!

Got to give this one 9/10.
