Booked very last minute and ended up with a single room for two adults but that was all that was left so we were happy with that.
Very large hotel, dated but clean. Our single room was actually quite a good size as was the bathroom.
We were given a key to open the outside door if we were going to be back late, which we were and the key didn't work! Luckily for us someone eventually left the hotel and we managed to get in.
Simple bar here called the Jubilee bar. It is handy having a bar here at the hotel if you don't fancy venturing out into the town, which is what we did. We had a couple of shots of scotch to get us going finished by a pint of lager.
The bogs are a simple affair here.
We found them to be very dirty on our visit. We found the toilet lighting to be very dark. Maybe there was something up with the bog bulbs?
Quick sh*t in the cubicle. Standard cubicle affair. White toilet bowl, black toilet seat and rather grubby looking toilet brush which has seen its fair share of nasty skids! The pipe behind the bowl was caked in dirt and sh*t, which was not very nice to encounter. The floor was quite slippery with p*ss and the walls were not exactly clean looking!
Overall, the hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay.
It's not luxury but it does the job.
But the toilets do need a bit of a refurb and a good clean!
