Description:
Located on Market Place, opposit Barclays Bank, this large pub was one of the busiest pubs in Macc in it's hey-day. Prior to the arrival of Wetherspoon's in town, the pub's busiet nights are now probably private functions, but this pub still has a lot to offer, lets take a look inside.

Imagine a mirrored L shape. You enter along the bottom of the L-Shape, the bar in front of you, there are rooms to the left and right of the L, and the pub extends up the L to the right, with the toilets area being concealed in the missing part of the rectangle.

The bar is quite long, well stocked and well-lit. On a recent visit Carlsberg was on permanent price offer at 1.57, excellent. Also on tap are Tetley Bitter, Stella Artois, Guinness and Strongbow.

The front of the pub has several fruit machines and a quiz machine for amusement, more to the rear, with a singular pool table at the far end of the pub, 50p a game i think.

To the toilets, you enter through a nice wooden "Gentlemen" door.

The room is sectioned off in a strange way, imagine two metal troughs, seperated by a wall intersection.

By the first trough is a long-thin landscape rectangular mirror and a plastic hand dryer, the second trough has two metal advert frames to peruse as you p*ss, set against the white tiling which exists throughout, contrasting well with a black floor.

To the right of these is ample sink area, with three basins, two mirrors, and windows to the outside. Soap is available, and overall this is an impressive outfit.

There is yet more room for a second dryer, and a jonny machine, Durex at 2x 1, the Bull's Head really know how to spoil us!

To the side of this is the final piece in the Jobby-Jigsaw! two cubicles, wooden panelled, and neatly packed away in the corner of the room.

Nicely presented, white toilets with a black lid, the cistern mounted against a tiled back wall and wooden features.

No bog brush, but the paper was good and lots of it.

Overall I left the Bulls Head very impressed, good cheap beers, and excellent bogs.

8/10
