We visited here one Friday evening. Although it was quite quiet we were told that there was a wait of around 40 mins for food. This wasn’t a problem as we were looking forwards to our meal.
When the food arrived it didn’t look particularly appealing and was not very warm. My chips were stone cold but these were replaced with no problem - only to be brought back with, by this time, cold peas. Someone else in our group ordered the surf & turf - all of the 'extras' ie tartare sauce etc were missing so the only difference between the steak meal and this were 4 pieces of dried up scampi - at the cost of £1.50. We asked for sauce and were given 2 sachets each - no bottles -at just under £18 for the 2 meals we were really disappointed.
The toilets are an absolute disgrace. They smell awful and should be condemned.
There was mould on the walls and the toilet felt very damp. The floor was filthy and was covered in cracks.
The cubicle was again dirty. The toilet bowl in the cubicle had no toilet seat and there was a notice on the cistern which stated “Do Not Use”.
The place seriously needs some cleaning and updating

Sorry to hear about your bad experience! I'm pleased to say the pub is now under new management and we're undergoing a huge refurbishment - especially in the loos! We hope to see you back soon for a second review - we're hoping to open in early September.
