We popped in for an extremely quick lunch, and were not disappointed. The venue itself is a little bizarre inside. Sort of glitzy retro meets Art Deco. Half the tables were set for lunch with wine glass and half were set with tea cups for afternoon tea. In itself not a problem but just a little strange.
The burger and fish and chips we enjoyed were both excellent. Will certainly be heading back when we have more time to try more from the menu.
We just managed to visit the toilets before we left.
Nice looking toilet inside, although a bit dark.
I went straight to the cubicle. The last user had obviously taken a sh*t and had left toilet paper around the bog seat (see photo). Overall cubicle was good and plenty of arse wipe. A handy new looking bog brush down the side to clean the pan which was pleasing to see.
On our way out we noticed the cleaners checklist. At the top of the checklist was a note to the customer which read: “Dear Guests. We endeavour to keep these toilets clean and tidy at all times by hourly checks. If however you see anything that we need to address. Please, if you could make a member of staff aware”. We noticed the cleaners checks for the bog varied. On the Sunday the bog had been checked throughout the day. On the Monday it had been checked mainly in the afternoon. On the Tuesday it had not been checked at all!
Overall nice place and not bad bogs.
