We went here recently for Sunday lunch with some friends. After a brisk walk through the fields we were there for the carvery, and were not disappointed. There were three types of meat, and lots of it. There were about a dozen vegetable dishes to choose from. I had plenty of delicious food on my plate and greatly enjoyed my meal. No room for pudding this time!
We finished our meal with a couple pints of Guinness. The atmosphere in here seemed relaxed and the staff were very friendly.
Now the sh*thouse.
Sadly on our visit the sh*tters were slightly dirty and felt a little rundown!
For a start the toilet floor was rather wet and sticky. In the cubicle there was more mess. Again the floor was wet and sticky. Someone had also dropped a bog roll in the toilet bowl and then thrown it down the side! I had a quick slash. The bowl was white with a brown toilet seat. The flush struggled to work and has most certainly seen better days.
The sinks provided water, but on our visit the hot water tap was not working. There was no soap either.
Next to the sink was a blue paper roll dispenser to dry your hands on. Below the paper roll was a silver bin. Next to this was a rather pathetic looking small plant
We had a great meal. But the toilets felt slightly depressing.
