Description:
Well bugger me! This restaurant has changed hands a lot! It reopened as The Cinnamon Tree a few years ago, after years of lying derelict, and now the place has changed again... Introducing The Balti Palace.

Not much has changed layout wise, though the bar area has moved, it is now located to the left of the steps as you enter the building.

The restuarant is decorated in a modern style, plain walls and laminate. But this contrasts well with nicely upholstered seating and a good table layout.

The bar is small, basic, but more than adequate. On tap are Kingfisher, Fosters and Tetley Bitter. The can offerings of Strongbow and Guinness accompany the spirits and soft drinks, and several wines are available.

The menu is a gooden here... Why not start with Popadoms and mixed pickles? For the main, why not a Lamb Tikka Massala, Chicken Rogan Josh or Prawn Madras?

The service is good, and prompt. Prices are good too. The portions aren't massive, but will be more than filling, not everyone wants to have to leave food cos theres too much afterall.

The Toilets are through an entrance to the back of the restaurant. Turn left for the ladies, and right for the gents...

The good furnishings of wood and laminate continue into the bogs, with some flooring tiles too.

There is no p*sser or urinals, simply two cubicles in the gents.

The two are well spaced, and contain white toilet bowls, with wooden seats which blend in fantastically with the rest of the room, and the restaurant in general.

There is bog roll, should think so in a curry house, but no sign of spares or a bog brush. Might be a little embarrasing asking for pan roll cos your arse is exploding to the sounds of Chicken Chilli Massala!

Outside is a single sink, a nice one, well set in its surrounds. With a large mirror, hot and cold taps, and Carex Hand Wash. There is a hand dryer too.

Make sure you wash your hands before returning to your meal.

Shame about no urinals, but more than understandable for a curry house.

After meal, you are treated to Oranges and After Eight Mints, along with a towel to wipe down with.

Overall 7/10
